Shortcodes don't work with Elementor page-builder #1661

Open richardmtl opened 5 years ago

richardmtl commented 5 years ago

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Use Elementor and WPJM
  2. Use the [job_dashboard] shortcode in an Elementor box - in particular, try the "Tabs" widget
  3. Try to Mark as Filled or Delete a job from the page

What Happened Instead

it failed; the page just refreshed and the job is not actually marked as filled or deleted.

Also, the links are displayed incorrectly; they are always visible as a bulleted list, rather than visible on mouseover on a single line.

@richardmtl Can you confirm that you are still able to reproduce this? I just gave it a try and was not able to reproduce. "Mark as Filled" and "Delete" both work fine for me in a page created by Elementor.

richardmtl commented 5 years ago

@alexsanford I only ever tested this on the user's staging site, not on my own.

Experiencing the same issue on production site with Elementor Pro 2.9.4, also when using third-party WPJM add-on Elementor Connector 1.0.0. Front-end users are unable to "mark filled", "duplicate", "delete", and "continue submission" if draft.

alexsanford commented 4 years ago

I am able to reproduce this issue, but only when using the "Job Dashboard" widget, which comes from the Elementor Connector plugin. If I use either a Shortcode widget or a Text Editor widget and enter [job_dashboard] there, it seems to work fine.

@johnsolarz could you please confirm whether this is the case for you as well? If it is only the "Job Dashboard" widget that is not working, then this is likely an issue with the Elementor Connector plugin.

johnsolarz commented 4 years ago

@alexsanford Thanks, confirmed. All actions are now working as expected in our app environment /Chrome using the shortcode widget.

alexsanford commented 4 years ago

Thank you! Closing this, and I've reached out to the Elementor Connector folks to inform them of the issue.

danjjohnson commented 4 years ago

@alexsanford I'm reopening this, as there are some issues when using WPJM shortcodes within tabs (from the Elementor tabs widget). It seems to conflict with the 'chosen' dropdowns in the job submit form.

Thanks Dan. I can confirm that it does not work for me within the Tabs widget as well. I've updated the description above to clarify.

Hi - hoping someone here can help or maybe point me in the direction of some help. Using Elementor with the BuddyBoss theme. As soon as I activate the WPJM plugin it disables Elementor - as in when I try to "Edit a Page with Elementor" nothing on the left hand side Elementor editor loads. Just a spinning blue circle. Contacted WPJM and they pointed me here.

hmbashar commented 1 year ago

doesn't work with WPJM single post with an elementor full-width template or canvas template.
