@adrianvalenz Its meant to be a starter theme, consider it as your scaffolding. You are meant to start from here and not from scratch, atleast that's the idea of it. So adding TailwindCSS is beyond the scope for _s
.
@adrianvalenz I just launched a fork of the underscores.me generator that uses _s
at its starting point, adding support for Tailwind:
If you have any feedback, please let me know!

Hey Greg! I started using your starter theme in a project a while back and I just wanted to let you know this has been a God-send! I haven't had this much fun building WordPress sites in a looooooong time, maybe ever. I love how very little tooling is required to get it going. I appreciate how you separated the theme files into a nice clean separate directory. Thanks to Laravel Mix I was able to add an entry point to install some node modules like SwupJS. This is my first real go with AlpineJS and your articles on your site had me thinking I had to give it a try. Love it. Thank you man! Oh I gave you a shout out on Twitter I hope it catches on!

Thanks so much, Adrian! I'm really happy you're liking _tw
. I'd been mildly hesitant to include Alpine.js alongside Tailwind, but your response really validates that approach for me. Please don't hesitate to get in touch if you have any other feedback as you use _tw
more!

BRAVO !!! So lemme give a try. I tried desperately to integrate (stably) TW into _S since some hours, and it is so 😒.
Good luck—please don't hesitate to get in touch if you run into any issues!
I'd really like to know. Also, are any update to date references on adding TailwindCSS to this project?
