Hi. I'm a starter theme called _s, or underscores, if you like. I'm a theme meant for hacking so don't use me as a Parent Theme. Instead try turning me into the next, most awesome, WordPress theme out there. That's what I'm here for.
Underscores only supports the use of "read more" inside of the content. But I think enough devs would like to have the option of the "classic" excerpt from the start. Also for some clients might be easier to understand/learn/use an excerpt that is outside of the content.
And a suggestion: For better structure and SEO put the post-thumbnail inside the header tag.
