First pass of changes:

Add $.proxy support when it's missing, as it is in Zepto. This is unfortunate.
Fake mouseenter and mouseleave using single mouseover and mouseout events. Not sure if this has performance implications or not. Seemed fine in my testing.
Change from innerWidth() to width() when determining the scrollbar size. I believe this is fine since the element doesn't have a border or padding.

+1 on $.proxy, we can use an anonymous bind
+1 on width, innerWidth is useless and incorrect
no mouseenter/mouseleave is a dealbreaker in my opinion
no mousewheel is ok, it's optional atm, all it does is block the bounce on Safari when you reach the boundaries. However, if the goal is to claim Zepto support, it would be nice to offer a Zepto mousewheel alternative.

More important than Zepto anyways is to remove the dependency on any framework at all… I think that's a better time investment.
