Congratulations on the prototype. Lots of good creativity and it is exciting to see this happening. Here is some feedback after testing version 0.0.2:
There are years and years of WordPress referring to Custom Post Types. Please don't change the name unless there is a good reason.
I was surprised that the admin menu wasn't located inside the Site Editor. That would make sense to me.
The block binding of fields was a treat. It wasn't clear how the custom fields could be used. When you bind a block, should you be prompted for a field name and the custom field be created and bound at the same time?
It would be useful to have these features of the register_post_type function please: has_archive and supports. Perhaps the other arguments could be available via a filter.
I couldn't figure out how to get the group block to work.
I couldn't figure out how to get a button block / url to work.
When there are several attributes for a block, like the button block, go ahead and show an input for them when the binding is made and add defaults for things like 'rel'. It would be nice to have inputs, for instance, for url and button text.
In the Manage Post Meta, on the Block Bindings tab, please add an option to delete a block binding.
When the user provides placeholder text, when the values are later entered it is necessary to manually backspace etc to delete the placeholder text. Please make this so the placeholder text is removed automatically when the user starts typing.
I love how you can pre-design the blocks when you bind them and then later when using them unlock the styling and change it. Very slick and creative.
There is a lot of excitement about this project. I'm looking forward to the next version and its eventual release. It would be great to see this included in the Site Editor.
