~~This brings back some commits that are missing from master for some reason. Apparently master has been force-pushed. Please take a look @eliorivero @MichaelArestad~~ I stand corrected. Elio just pointed out to me that this is was supposed to be this way. I have initially started a PR on the babel-six branch because it needed those changes to work. So this should be fine to go in.

Tested and builds fine with node 5.11.1. GUI testing with Enzyme now works with this so I'd like it to be merged soon.
