I face the same issue while running add-on, Do you have a temporary solution for this issue like tweaking the WordPress theme function.php file maybe ? Aside from this the add-on is amazing!
@valkalon Sorry, there isn't a work-around at this time. The GIF is being converted in Google Docs so WordPress doesn't have a chance to do anything. We'll keep looking for a solution!
@georgeh thanks for your return, indeed google app scripts only exports the first frame of the gif. I notice that by using the normal export File > Download As, the real gif is downloaded. Would you like some help on this matter? I can open a thread with google to see if they have a solution to offer.
@valkalon any assistance you can provide would be appreciated. It looks like there's an open issue in Google's issue tracker already so starring that may be helpful.
Thanks georgeh, I have submitted a message and will monitor the thread. In the meantime, I'll change gifs manually. Thanks for the amazing software it's really a blessing for importing articles!
An animated GIF in a document will not show up as animated. Instead, it will only display the first frame of the animation.
