Jetpack causes warning on W3 Nu HTML Checker validation #24423

Steps to Reproduce

Install Jetpack, validate any page at https://validator.w3.org/

The culprit is this line here which I've read to understand is some weird old hacky stat-collecting mechanism.

<style type='text/css'>img#wpstats{display:none}</style>

Please can the "type='text/css'" be removed as it's not required.

A clear and concise description of what you expected to happen.

Nice, clean valid HTML with no iffy bits at all.

There is an iffy bit.

@bigupjeff Thanks for the report! We removed it and it'll be in the release scheduled to go out on the first Tuesday of June.
