The user's issue has resurrected (5311458-zen) - now they report that it's both the annual stats and the relevant posts that are impacted.

I have posted some more debugging info to the ticket mentioned above to hopefully make it easier for a developer to help us debug this issue.

  • they appear to have one post a month in 2014 at or above 1500 Word Count (according to the third party plugin), so quick math implies that their total word count for 2014 of over 18,000 (according to the third party plugin).
  • their total word count for 2014 in https://wordpress.com/stats/day/annualstats/ is 7,876, and the Avg words per post is 656.
