With the Free API, you are allowed 1,500 Posts per month and 50 requests within a 24-hour period https://developer.x.com/en/products/twitter-api

Thanks. I also wanted to point out using Autopost for X is also interacting with Jetpack. The post only publishes once even though it shows up twice. So I am guessing the code is still there just the connection process and the icon need to be updated.

why not just fix the API

We are still thinking this through for Twitter/X on what would be the best way forward.
