Gutenberg integration #76

Not sure what is on the roadmap for Media Explorer, but when Gutenberg drops, Media Explorer will probably no longer work.

I know Gutenberg is still in development and there doesn't appear to be a migration guide in place yet, but this is just a placeholder ticket to gather some migration thoughts.

Given that Gutenberg is being advertised in WordPress 4.9.5, this means that Gutenberg is getting closer to release.

Any further thoughts here? Is there work happening behind the scenes that we might not be aware of?

I'll second this. A Gutenberg integration would be very much appreciated. We have a lot of functionality tied up in custom extensions we've added to the media explorer in our theme.

As you can see from the screenshot below, we are extending the media explorer to let users embed other forms of content beyond images and galleries. All this functionality will disappear when the Media Explorer plugin disappears in Gutenberg.
