Add an option to include an analytics tag #1907

Scalawag has asked for a way to create a customized feed that includes an analytic tag for News Break. Smart News has a plugin that does this for them but I suspect that as we move forward, this will come up as a request from other providers.

News Break requests that the analytics be included inside of the tag. SmartNews uses their own tag, . More specifically, they request that users customize the feed.php file created by their plugin as such:

Could we allow for Parse.ly tracking to be added along with a custom analytics tag in a custom RSS feed?

@tmmbecker – this task needs a more precise description:

  1. Which tag should be added – snf:analytics or nb:analytics. Or both?
  2. Should the content of the tag be as in the screenshot? If so, which parts are dynamic?
  3. What are Smart News and News Break – are these RSS feed processors?
