Probably a variant of https://github.com/Automattic/notifications-panel/issues/232 where an Author is not set on a comment. @donnchawp is reporting that he sees this on a comment like in psTyL-33y-p2 (comment 11117).
We need to verify if this is happening in Masterbar notifications, or only in email notifications.
