We asked the user above to change their account email address to a Gmail one as a workaround. They are not too happy about this:
This temporarily allows me to log in but causes many additional problems and is not an acceptable workaround. [...] Basically that it's impossible to change the email back after signing in without breaking everything. And since I use that email for basically nothing thanks to the cumulative effect of thousands of idiots who think it's their email and use it for everything from pizza delivery to goddamn tax returns, it's not an address I plan on ever using for a service I actually care about in any way.
I have a new Galaxy 6 Watch and have installed PocketCasts on it. I am logged in to the app on my Pixel Pro 7. Every time I try to use the app on the watch it says I should login to a '+' account (which I am) =, exit the app and come back in. Done that three times. Restarted watch and phone twice. Logged out and back in on phone. Still no way to use app on the watch.
I have checked and far as I can see both watch and phone are running same version.

was successfully using Pocket Casts on my Android phone and Galaxy watch until I got a new Android phone. The watch playlist was not synching with the phone. (But, I was able to use the app.) I tried some solutions offered by Google AI and ultimately ended up:
- uninstalling and reinstalling the app on my watch (a couple of times.)
- I made sure I was logged into my Plus account on my phone and my phone is connected to my watch
- I made sure the phone and watch are on the same version Now, when I open the app on my watch I get (verbatim) SCREEN 1: Log in with a Plus account to use this app or upgrade visiting play.pocketcasts.com and then there is a log in button which I select SCREEN 2: Log in with Google or Log in on phone. I select log in on phone SCREEN 3: 1 Log into Pocket Casts on a paired Android phone. 2. The next time you open Pocket Casts on your watch and have a network connection, you will be logged in. If you are having trouble, make sure your phone is running the same version of Pocket Casts as your watch (7.74w) And, I can't get into the app at all.

Description
We received a report of a user who is having a problem logging in to their Wear OS app.
They have tried to uninstall and reinstall both the phone and watch app, beta and stable versions.
The app loads but shows as logged out, and the login does not work.
They use email to log in, which is unavailable in the WearOS app. The watch-based login also does not work for them.
The last recommendation we gave them also didn't help:
