Classic Widget gets frozen #2307

Description

We've had a report from a user that the Medium Classic Widget gets frozen and does not work. I was able to replicate the issue on my device.

Step-by-step reproduction instructions

  1. Add the Classic Medium Widget to your homescreen
  2. Open Pocket Casts, go to Profile > click on 'Refresh Now'
  3. Immediately close the app and swipe it out of the recent apps
  4. Go to your homescreen and rotate your screen to landscape

Note: @azollafox tried on a Pixel but could not replicate, but I can consistently replicate on my Fold 4

Interesting observation from 8241148-zd-a8x user:

In the meantime I found out that if I hit play on a modern widget (which works reliably) the classic widget fixes itself, i.e. it immediately refreshes itself and works normally.

It's a great app, but I'm having issues with the widget. I'll play a podcast at night and when i wake up the widget doesn't have it ready to play. When i touch the widget it doesn't load the program or open the program to let me pick a podcast, nothing happens, so i have to open the app manually by picking the icon from the list of apps. Not the biggest deal, but it's happening more frequently and I'm not sure what to do about it. Happy to provide any details you need, just let me know.
