I don't actually have a problem with the exsisting long-press selection method to me it's quite fast because I don't need to move my finger to the top of the screen & it understands context & intent, tho I personally would love a select all in-between select all above & all below on the long press (or on top of the popup to not upset existing mussel memory), it is rare that I need it but I feel like it would fit well as an option βΊοΈ π€
(at that I wouldn't mind quick actions nearer the bottom of the screen in multiselect mode but I think thats more unlikely)
I suppose the only question I have is how dose it know the selection context in your usecase it dosen't technically know which episode location context from under the 3 dot? At that I wouldn't be against haveing more options if it's logical π
On further thoughts it might be nice to have a deselect all above/below if the podcast is allready selected π€π€
What problem does this address?
I'm new to Pocket Cast, and wanted to archive episodes from my regular playlists that I'd already listened to. This was hundreds of episodes in some cases.
I couldn't easily find a "select all below" option. I was literally in the middle of looking through the source when I discovered the existing "select all below" option.
A long-press -> long-press gesture seems very un-intuitive to me, as a long time Android user,.
What is your proposed solution?
Add the "select all below" and "select all above" to the normal overflow menu that's available when long-pressing any item
