Add a way for admins to export learner data from Learner Management

When clicking Sensei > Learner Management > Manage learners you can see the learners of a course and it would be nice to be able to bulk download the data for those learners like emails addresses etc

We could maybe add filters so the admin could filter exactly which data they would like exported so if the only want email addresses that's all they get.

So...it seems like maybe this is a function that's available in the "analysis" portion of Sensei LMS. According to this post it can be done - http://ideas.woocommerce.com/forums/191508-sensei/suggestions/4771658-in-analysis-show-and-export-first-last-name-em but I've looked high and low for documentation about this and can't find any. I REALLY need to be able to do this...and it seems like a rather basic function that nay teacher would need.

The learners in a course can be exported by going to Sensei LMS > Analysis > Courses, selecting a course and then clicking on Learners taking this Course. There is an Export all rows (CSV) button at the bottom to export the data.

How was it closed? You did not present any solution on the full amount of student data in the menu analysis. This is really important for follow-up. The export you mentioned is just an export of the student's name, there is no more data like email, phone, address or anything else. And I still think it is important to include a filter for export, for example, to export very important for those who selected, for example, users of a specified company. The Sensei LMS still needs a lot of adjustments, although it is a great tool. Handling student data globally may be improved by the team. All information on this page must be taken into account.

@tiicaa @TheLibzter As this issue was for exporting data from the Learner Management page, it was closed as that's already handled as per https://github.com/Automattic/sensei/issues/966#issuecomment-495960879.

If what you're asking about is the ability to export all learner data across the entire site, then please see #3049. The first iteration will include the option to export courses, lessons and questions, while a subsequent iteration will add the ability to export learner data.

The corresponding import functionality is in #3100.

Hi @donnapep , I saw what you answered and I can see it on my wordpress panel, but that's not what I'm talking about, and I believe that neither my colleagues who requested it. The export option exists and I can see it in my installation, but there are two major disadvantages here:

The first is the preparation of the filters before export: the button "Export all lines (CSV)", requires the export of ALL the registered student base, it is not possible to export only what interests me, for example, I would like to filter students by region (City or Country) or even a specific filter, for example: I use the user registration field "WebSite" to register the website of each company where the user works and would like to be able to filter users who work at same company.

The search for example marked in the Website field works, somehow I can filter users through this field, however in the export even if I only see the users I want, I am obliged to export the entire database. See if we should have the option to filter all user registration data as it was registered in Wordpress. Considering that I can have a large student base and I generally need reports from only a few students per month. But I am obliged to export the entire base in CSV to have a student report.

The second is the data listed in the CSV: It is not possible to search for students by surname; the search does not work unless the surname appears in the email. And when the csv is exported, the user’s complete data doesn’t come out, just the name, we need more user data, like email, phone, address etc. At least one option to select which data is needed for export.
