String search in Thai broken

Reported in a Google App review so there isn't much information.

Thai language searching is useless. It cannot highlight the text I search even if that text exist.

I have tested this a bit on Android and seems that the search doesn't work exactly like the web when dealing with substrings, as an example I'm using ไป ( go) and ต่อไป (next), where the first word can be found as a substring of the second word:

• Searching for ไป will only show ไป in Android, but will show both ไป and ต่อไป in web search.
• Searching ต่อไป will show both ไป and ต่อไป in both devices.

It looks like the Android search is finding 1) exact matches, and 2) The search word contains other word substrings. However, is not finding matches when the search word is a substring on a different word.
