During Text Selection, Scrolling Occurs Too Rapidly Near Keyboard #1205

Expected

When starting a text selection near the keyboard, text selection should still allow for precision.

Observed

Scrolling occurs too rapidly when selecting text near the keyboard, making precise selection near-impossible.

Reproduced

  1. Create a note with many lines of text.
  2. Select text right above the keyboard.
  3. Attempt to just select two lines of text — the one above the keyboard and one below.

This might be a bigger problem when selecting text in landscape since there is less space between the top of the keyboard and the top edge of the screen.

it is pretty impossible to accurately select text with landscape orientation in Simplenote 4.33 on an iPhone X running iOS 14.4.1.
