Shoreditch: Adding Personal plan adds white background on header #1782

Steps to replicate

Add a Personal plan to a WordPress.com site
Go into Customizer > Colors & Background
Click Palettes
Click "Pick your own color"
Select a colour

The header area turns the selected background colour in the Customizer's preview area:

Result

Look at the site on the front end. The header area is white.

Expected

The header area should match the colour selected in the Customizer

Note

This does not happen on a site with a free or a Premium plan, only Personal.

I gave the user in the above ticket a temporary Custom Design upgrade to work around the issue. The upgrade can be removed once this bug is fixed.

Workaround: By adding the 'Custom Design' option in SA, the Colors & Background Palette work correctly and show the selected color in the theme header.

Noting that the user in 2690864-zd has since upgraded to a Premium plan on their own, so the issue will not be apparent on the site anymore, but can be replicated on any test site with a Personal plan.
