• Replicated just as described! Viewing the responsive design tools on my desktop browser (Firefox) did not replicate the problem, but actually viewing the site on my mobile device does show the uncontained image.
• Logo is 511x512 in dimensions
• Mobile Device used: iPhone XR iOS 16.4.1, Safari browser

It's possible this is related to https://github.com/Automattic/wp-calypso/issues/77561 , but I couldn't see the same CSS that has been causing all the problems on that issue, so didn't merge for now.
