Ron: Single template has no comments / comment form #7445

Quick summary

Ron is a blogging theme, but it doesn't have a comment form or a way to display comments built in.

Steps to reproduce

To duplicate:

  1. Activate Ron on a site that has posts with comments
  2. View a post that has comments open
  3. Notice there is no comment form
  4. Edit the Single template
  5. Notice there is no comment form there either

What you expected to happen

I expect a blogging theme to have comments by default.

What actually happened

There's no comment form or comments displayed

Workaround details

Edit the template and add a comment form and comments display yourself, but it's not easy for users to do that and get it looking nice.

Another report of missing Comments in Ron: 7381408-zd-a8c

It was so long to add it back in chat in chat that they switched to another theme instead.

IMO single post templates should always have the blocks needed to display or leave comments. The ability to leave comments is already controlled in Settings > Discussion. It is super super confusing for users to have those missing by default.
