Here's the current empty state for a brand new Jetpack site. (I created a new site with Jurassic Ninja, connected it to WordPress.com, and purchased a Jetpack Personal plan for it.)
Suggested adjustments:
Sharing the full visual flow, to give context to this user experience.
Here's the email I received, with subject line Welcome to Jetpack! Check out your new tools.
The "Manage backups" URL goes to https://wordpress.com/activity-log/174205420
— and shows the same Empty State "Welcome to your site’s activity" banner since I haven't dismissed it yet.
This URL doesn't need the extra query string to pre-filter the Backup items — because there aren't any yet to view!

Of note, this makes it seem as if the site doesn't have any overall activity either! I do like that it allows you to "Remove All Filters" but believe more can be done here.
This issue has been marked as stale and will be closed in seven days. This happened because:
You can keep the issue open by adding a comment. If you do, please provide additional context and explain why you’d like it to remain open. You can also close the issue yourself — if you do, please add a brief explanation.
Question: What does the empty state of the Activity & Backups screen look like for an Atomic site?
When you land on the page — might you be confused about “activity being empty” — given that maybe backups aren't working, and you've contacted support?
