Purchases: Optionally send receipts as a PDF #52063

What A customer is asking for the option to receive their receipts as PDFs.

Why They work for a company which has multiple sites under the same account. They need PDFs for their billing system. The receipts they get come as the body of an email, which causes them to have to log into WordPress.com, find the receipt, and print it as a PDF manually each time.

We talked about this in our planning call two weeks ago. Given that you can save/print to PDF from most email clients, I don't know that this feature will make it onto the roadmap unless there are an overwhelming number of requests. I'm going to close this as wontfix, but feel free to reopen it if you feel it warrants more discussion or there are more instances of this request.

I received another request for this in 30357110-hc today. Specifically, what they wanted was a way to get business-addressed PDF receipts automatically attached, without the hassle of changing their billing company name each time and manually downloading the PDF after doing that.

I can definitely understand why a customer with a business might find our current state of affairs pretty cumbersome! Reopening just to make sure someone sees this :)

Received another request in 33701133-hc. The receipt available on the website didn't contain VAT info.

Was able to crop out the receipt alone and the user seemed pleased with that.
