What

User requested options for sorting items in the Media Library: “I was wondering if we can manage or media galleries? I’ve uploaded a series of images now and they are getting hard to sort among all other media files. Is there a way I can create folders/categories in the media gallery?”

Folders or categories. Better organization. Organize your media library.

Got a user asking about this feature in a Quick Start session:

4017795-zd-woothemes

The user was considering this plugin which looks like a good option:

https://wordpress.com/plugins/filebird/

The plugin helps categorize images without changing the folders (or creating new ones). It would be great to have that as a built-in function: a way to "categorize" images.

Had another user asking about this in 33113449-hc.

Specifically, they were interested in being able to organize their media library to see which files were being used in Pages and which were being used in Posts (and I've definitely seen other users asking for a way to see which files are being used on the site vs. unused and can be deleted).

The user would like to be able to organize their media library with folders. For now I offered Business plan upgrade and suggested this plugin: https://wordpress.com/plugins/filebird/
