3 years ago I haven't been able to recreate this (yet).
When using the legacy widget block, selecting the Social Icons block and editing it - I do get the icons showing. This is on a Simple Site/Premium Plan.
Have we been able to recreate this issue elsewhere?

3 years ago I've also been able to get this working on the user's site - so I've replied in 4250489-zd-woothemes to ask them to confirm. Closing this Issue for now.
