This could be tested for the Checkout Redesign, since the sidebar upsell is already removed there in the new design Figma...though it seems likely it will be added back in. It's hard to know without proper a/b testing so it may be worthwhile to set up a test for the sidebar, i.e. - no upsell | two year upsell | two and three year upsells.

FYI @jjchrisdiehl, as part of some housekeeping, I removed this from the maintenance board.
Quick summary
During checkout we display a call to action in the sidebar that encourages customers to upgrade to a two year plan to save money with the multi-year discount:
But we don't show this when theres a two (or three) year plan in the cart:
Why is this? I figure we would want to continue to display the upsell since a customer may want to double or triple down for the savings.
This could easily be A/B tested and we may even get an uptick in conversions for higher tier variants.
