5 months ago hmmm interesting, I think you should be able to subscribe to RSS feeds the same as other feeds. Maybe I'm not understanding this correctly(?)
e.g. if I go to the feed for hacker news feed here https://wordpress.com/read/feeds/1218003 I should be able to subscribe as normal.

In this case it was from my own feed, so I'm already subscribed to the feed. So I should see "Unsubscribe RSS" or something like that?

5 months ago It might make sense to treat subscribing to RSS slightly separately, and perhaps use separate terminology to set expectations right? It works different from regular subscribing.
