Quick summary

Difficult to filter entries on wpcom/sites for lists with a lot of sites (like a12s) and find the sites you own.

Steps to reproduce

  1. Go to wpcom/sites
  2. For a12s, try to find a personal test site that you don't remember the name of

What you expected to happen

I go to wpcom/sites and am able to filter out sites I'm added to as an admin, but didn't create (or don't own). I am able to quickly filter for Owner=Me and be presented with all my personal sites (in my case, usually a bunch of personal test sites).

What actually happened

There isn't a field for Owner and none of the other fields (Plan, Status, Last published, Stats, or Actions) are useful filters for this purpose. You're left scrolling the list to recognize personal sites or remember the name (or pattern) in site name to filter to the personal site you're trying to find.

Impact

Most (> 50%)

Available workarounds?

Yes, easy to implement

If the above answer is "Yes...", outline the workaround.

  1. Scroll list to find the sites you want
  2. Remember a pattern in the site name to filter on

I don't know that most folks, if anyone, would expect this as an appropriate filter.

Perhaps instead you should be able to filter by owner:

@richtabor / @sethmclellana8c, what's your take on the above?

I agree that being able to filter by Owner has significant benefits for a range of users.

I've asked for data for how many users are assigned/have 1 site, 2 sites, 3 sites, ... 20+ sites. Will return with answer.
