If the active theme has style variations available there are two identical ways to enter the site editor - the big blue 'Customize site' button and also a sentence saying 'Open the site editor to change your site's style'.
It feels a bit confusing - what's the difference between the site editor and customizing my site? Until you realise that the links go to the same place.
Steps to reproduce
Activate a theme that has style variations
Go to Appearance → Themes, find the theme again in the grid and click it
What you expected to happen
To have one way to enter the site editor, though perhaps two ways is fine if they both use the same wording.
It would perhaps be ideal if I could change my style directly from this page, though that brings baggage like easy undo, possibly upgrade warnings etc.
Perhaps a small improvement would be to move the text closer to the styles, and more closely mirror the wording in the button:
What actually happened
Two ways of entering the site editor are on screen - a button and the link
Impact
One
Available workarounds?
No and the platform is unusable
If the above answer is "Yes...", outline the workaround.
