It would be great if there were some Block Settings to customize the spacing of items and the alternation within the timeline block. Example, you could have two entries on one side before alternating or set the spacing on the timeline so that events appear closer together or further apart.
Why
Right now each entry starts after the next, so when alternation is selected, the spacing is set by the opposing block.

There are two cosmetic feature requests open, #45484 and #81859 that would also add nice visual options to the block.
