cannot run ardrone_driver on indigo or kinetic #214

I face this problem when I try to run the command "rosrun ardrone_autonomy ardrone_driver" drone_error This is after I installed the ardrone_autonomy using the binary method.

I'am running Ubuntu14.04 and Indigo on VMware. Any help ? I have also tried running it on Ubuntu16 using Kinetic! The problem is that there it shows "Getting ARDrone Versio" over and over again. I used the apt-get install metohd for ARDrone autonomy installation.

In both cases I connect to the ARDrone wifi hotspot, wait for a while and then try the commands.
