After successfully creating a VM, is it not possible to add more virtual (SATA) drives? #3795

I created a VM in vmware workstation, and the system is working. However, it doesn't seem I'm able to add more SATA drives. The model I chose is DS3622xs+. I shutdown the VM and added 3 more SATA drives, and none of them is detected upon restart.
