Update from ARC 23.5.18 to ARC 23.7.20a: Issue with building loader #404

I updates ARC from 23.5.18 to 23.7.20a and recovered the config. The DSM version stays on 7.2 although the config is for DSM 7.1. After rebooting ARC I can now change the model and the DSM version. And after reconfiguring DiskIdxMap I wanted to build the loader but then I get an error message:

When changing the DSM version to 7.2 there's no error message building the loader. But before upgrading DSM to 7.2 I first want to update ARC. When everything is fine I want to update my DSM cluster to 7.2.

What can I do?

You can not recover anything if you want to change the version.

That's not the answer to my question. The issue is that I can't build the loader with DSM 7.1 setup - see error meesage above. And as I already wrote, I don't want to change the DSM version! I've running 7.1.1 U6 with ARC 23.5.18 and that's the DSM version I want to run with ARC 23.7.20a. If this is working as expected I want to update the DSM cluster to 7.2.

i have forgotten to delete old files. fixed in next release

OK, this works with ARC 23.7.21. Thank you for your quick solution.

Strange thing: When restoring the config backup for DSM 7.1 ARC sets DSM 7.2. And you can't change the DSM version by choosing the model.

So you have to build the loader, reboot ARC to configure ARC once again. Then you can choose the model and set the DSM version to 7.1. In my case I have to change the DiskIdxMap once again because rechoosing the model changes this setting and then my DSM node may not boot. After rebuilding the loader DSM 7.1 is running fine.

In the evening I can update ARC on my active cluster node. I have to wait until the Hyper Backups are done. Switching the active node will break the backup jobs or the switch isn't possible when there are running Hyper Backups.
