pma-voice lag or high CPU usage? #304

I have been testing out a new qbcore server build using pma voice and everything was great. Then a friend with a lower end PC joined and he started having performance issues and his voice would lag/break up near custom interiors and in some areas of the city. He never had this issue before with previous server builds we have used. Any suggestion on how to tweak pma voice to work better for him?

Server Info:

Just for testing we back to our old ESX server build that we had set up to use salty chat and teamspeak and he has no issues with performance there. So I am inclined to think it is an issue with pma voice

We did some further testing and decided to turn pma-voice off on the server and just use teamspeak to test his performance and he saw a drop on his CPU usage from what is was. In addition he noticed he was hearing an echo from me while talking on TS and found that we still had in game voice with pma-voice not running in the resources of the server. Is this normal?

I turned pma-voice back on while on the server and instantly he began to break up and his cpu shot to 100%. This further points to pma-voice being the issue for him.

Any suggestions?

We have done some more testing. I changed a bunch of settings for pma-voice and still having the same issue no matter what we try. Even with pma-voice disabled in resources we still have voice which makes no sense to me.

Anyway I took a clip from my twitch channel to show what he sounds like... https://clips.twitch.tv/AnimatedHotSlothEleGiggle-Mdah19qL-a37ZgZ4

If anyone has any suggestions PLEASE share. I am running out of ideas how to help him fix it.

If you don't have pma-voice on you're still going to be using default GTA voice chat unless you disable your voice chat ingame.

As for the lag issue, how many cores does he have on his PC?
