Engageus

Integrated voting and feedback

Purpose:

To allow the opinions of ticket holders to be collected before, during and/or after an event. This could be used as a voting system to enable events to demonstrate opinions within the events. It could also be used to asses change in those opinions after the event. Or it could be used as a satisfaction and feedback mechanism to event organisers.

Problem:

It is not uncommon for lecture type events to look at opinion statistics, or charitable or political events to want to gauge opinion and any change in it, or any event to be interested in feedback from attendees.

Solution:

EngageUs is an option to event organisers to configure a simple questionnaire/voting system which is then accessible to ticket holders of their event, to express their opinion on anything from a topical subject matter of the event to satisfaction feedback.

How it works:

The event organiser can opt to use EngageUs through their event configurations options, then they can generate a new questionnaire/vote, set parameters for anonymity of results, which ticket holders (all or specific ticket rates) can complete the questionnaire/vote, and from what point in time to any time limit. E.G. Prior to the event, on confirmation of attendance, a specific time during the event (with attendance confirmed) or after the event (with attendance confirmed). Then the event organiser sets out the questions and type of answers acceptable for each question. This is then potentially repeated for more questionnaires/votes for any other parameter combinations. EngageUs would then look at conditions from Eventus Services for the event status, ticket status and time, before triggering the availability of each questionnaire to the relevant ticket owners.

The relevant group of ticket holders will then be presented with the option to respond to the vote/questionnaire during the appropriate time window. This would include a list of any personal information types that were requested, with an option to Allow disclosure of each.

As an additional incentive for ticket holders to participate, event organisers could optionally also offer a reward or entry into prize draws for ticket holders who complete all or certain fields.

The value:

Collecting the opinions of event attendees and depends entirely on what is being asked. And engagement of ticket holders E.G. Attendees at a football game could vote for their player of the match, bringing engagement and democracy to something they currently aren't involved with.

Beneficiaries and users:

It would be for use and potential benefit to event organisers and attendees.

Benefit and utilisation:

This will allow events to leverage the Aventus protocol’s tight control of ticket ownership to deliver more involvement of attendees in a fairer and more controlled and scientifically elegant way. To either benefit engagement of attendees, gain more accurate data, gather improvement feedback or any combination. EngageUs would generate live, statistical results that could be accessible either through a web interface or API. This will offer more native functionality to event organisers and the opportunity to collect feedback and improve their events.

Monetisation and business model:

The idea is primarily to bring extra added value into the Aventus platform but could be a separately chargeable feature option, through a nominal fee per question answered and presenting the information is various formats.

I entered the above idea into the competition however, I am not that knowledgeable of the underlying mechanics of the Aventus platform and I also have two companies and a charity to try and run. So, if anyone is interested in helping to refine the idea proposal then I would be happy to share to potential going forwards. Please get in touch :)
