CheapCheckAvt app
PURPOSE: Why just tickets? Let´s talk trading COUPONS. CheapCheckAvt is a platform utilizing Aventus protocol beyond ticket sale - for sharing coupons amongst its users. When a user receives a coupon that entitles him to a better deal, he types it into CheapCheckAvt app. The coupon is then shared with other users who can use it, via the app, browser extensions etc. If another user uses the Coupon/promo-code, the person who provided the code is rewarded for its help in AVT tokens. For limited-use coupons a bidding auction can take place.
DESCRIPTION:
The problem:
You have full inbox of:
However, chances are, that you are receiving these motivating deals, because you showed reluctance to become a returning customer. And indeed, most of the time you don´t return and you don´t use your coupon, which then expires in vain.
So why not share the coupon with others and get rewarded when someone uses it?
Solution:
CheapCheckAvt aims to provide a platform that aggregates coupons from its donor users and serves them to other users exactly when they need it - in the checkout/paywall moments. This is done either in web browser via extensions/plugins, that communicate with the database of coupons, or via mobile app, that provides searchable “marketplace” of coupons.
Users are incentivized to provide coupons by receiving AVTs every time somebody uses the code. The different sources of these AVTs are described in section Monetisation.
Hence, donor users are able to turn their spam boxes into potential income, and users-shoppers can save costs on online markets be it paying for goods, tickets, services like taxi rides or online ads, or getting bonuses for referred-sign up, etc.
How it Works:
The schemes could vary depending on the type of a coupon. Here are several use cases:
1/ User obtains a $75,- coupon for online Ads, that has a unique code, and therefore is usable only once. He posts it to the CheapCheckAvt and sets parameters for its use. CheapCheckAvt would then make use of the Aventus protocol’s secret bidding facility and let other users bid on the coupon for set time (e.g. 24h). After this time passes, the winning bid is paid by the highest bidding user in AVT and distributed to the donor of the coupon. In exchange, the code of the coupon is revealed to the bidder and he can use it. For example, if the winning bid was worth $10,-, the highest bidder just acquired $65,- in a free service and the donor of the coupon got paid $10,- for a coupon he wouldn't use, because his businesses wasn´t planning to run ads in the time the coupon was claimable. Both sides profit.
2/ A merchant generates a set of coupons for 20% bargain in his e-shop and he himself logs them into CheapCheckAvt app. He sets the criteria e.g. the date of expiry of the coupon and possibly rules for secondary transactions. Users might bid in AVT to claim these coupons - if there is high demand, than the effective bargain the highest bidder obtains, is much less than 20%; if there is low demand, than the bargain might stay untouched and the bidder gets 20% off. The merchant profits by selling his goods in both cases, while maximizing profit from each sale. Moreover, even the lucky bidder that got the bargain the cheapest can still decide not to use it and sell it off for a higher price to other users who came late. All users profit.
3/ User obtains “seasonal” coupon code claimable unrestricted number of times. He logs it into the CheapCheckAvt app and sets the price in AVT (e.g. $1,-) that he would like to receive if someone uses the coupon. Other user, in the process of checking out from an e-shop might find out, there is a possibility of getting e.g. $5,- off his shopping cart by using of a coupon. He would gladly pay $1,- in AVT to reveal the coupon code in order to save $4,- on his order. Both sides profit. Moreover, the donor user might profit even several times - every time other user pays for revealing his code.
4/ User uses video streaming service on 2 devices, although his subscription plan permits use on 3 devices. He can log the needed credentials into the CheapCheckAvt app and “sub-rent” his “free slot” in exchange for AVT, therefore reducing his cost of the service. The other user saves on not being obliged to pay for a full subscription. This can be done on a day-to-day basis - it all depends on how the donor user sets criteria for his credentials. Both sides profit.
5/ User logs into the CheapCheckAvt his affiliate link, which provides some benefit for both the person that referred and the person that got referred. No transaction in AVT took place, since the link was accessible free of charge, but both sides profit “externally” of the app thanks to obtained referral benefits.
Benefits for Aventus ecosystem and its utilisation:
The biggest benefit for the ecosystem is utilisation of AVT tokens as holders of value (since they will be used as a currency in transactions between users), therefore increasing demand for them and raising their price.
Moreover, the price of AVT tokens is estimated to rise as CheapCheckAvt grows bigger, since the assets obtainable in exchange for AVT tokens in CheapCheckAvt are always of bigger value than the price paid in AVT tokens for them.
Aventus protocol will be utilised as described in aforementioned use cases for creation of coupon representations in the app (by setting the same parameters as would be in other cases set for events - Date until which the coupon is claimable, Price for which the coupon code will be revealed to the bidder, in som use cases also conditions of secondary transactions).
Another utilisation of the protocol would incorporate the bidding functionality on auctionable coupons in case of limited-use coupon codes.
In all of the use cases, creation of User profiles would be preferable - to manage individual interests in coupons, and to provide relevant “marketplace” suggestions for individual users.
This app takes Aventus protocol beyond its primarily destined use in ticketing industry into sector of coupon codes. Although the available coupons might also include discounts for venue tickets, therefore boosting primary sales of tickets, the user base of the app has much wider potential, since it will incorporate even people that are not party-goers, but tend to shop online, or use online services. The app might work very much like the already developed Alpha with minor tweaks, since the creation of coupon representations might be very similar to creation of events.
