AttributeError: 'NoneType' object has no attribute 'extend'

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Ubuntu 8.04.2
2. Python 2.5.2
3. iniparse-0.3.0
4. videocache-1.9.tar.gz
5. while installing videocache iniparse errors out...

I believe this is caused by empty lines before the first option in a section.  
I've
been able to reproduce it.
