Filter by Game-Type not saving, or how to set on startup. #133

Open GoogleCodeExporter opened 8 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 8 years ago
What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Filter games by its game type, i.e. show only Wii games
2. Restart the Wii/game/cfg loader
3. Settings not saved even on clicking the "save" settings button.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Setting should be saved on restart of the wii/cfg loader.

What version of the product are you using?
cfg70MODr65
d2x v8 final
Wii Menu 4.3e

Please provide any additional information below.
How will I be able to set this up on startup, or the command to place on my
config.txt.
Also if I may add, it will be really great if there is a "commands-list"
available that can be used on the config.txt. Desperately need one.

Also, I've used the command "filter=Wii" as found on issue 124, and it doesn't
work.

About the commands-list, I mean the updated commands list with all the changes
of the rev releases.

The "unofficial Beta" version that was mentioned in issue 124 is the authors
own creation. It has recieved almost none of the bug fixes or enhancements for
the last 2 years. All my requests for source of the "unofficial Beta" version
or to merge the two versions have gone unanswered. As a result that command is
not part of this project, that is why it is not included in the documentation.
The latest command list can be found here

I see. That answers why its not working.

I've read the commands list and correct me if I'm wrong, those are the updated
commands as of the official cfg loader release 70 right..? I'm looking for the
updated or new commands list from release 70 up to revision MOD release of 65?
or probably even up to the nightly 75? is that one better/stable?

README-CFG.txt should always be through the current version. Looks like the
title was never updated.

The list of all changes from the v70 release is located here
http://cfg-loader-mod.googlecode.com/svn/trunk/updates.txt I always belive the
newest upload is better & more stable than any previous version.

hhmm.. it barely gives out all the commands list. Thanks anyways. Imma try the
nightlies see how it goes..

Hoping to see one day, the mod people of CFG Loader work with USB Loader GX.
I'm new to the wii softmod scene but based on experience, CFG Loader =
Compatibility and USB Loader GX = User friendly and design.. Most games I have
black screen freezes on GX but not on CFG..

What additional info do you feel should be added?

One really helpful feature is the ability to do all the changes in-app and
almost independently need of a pc. With GX, you can change, pretty much
everything, necessary for the app to work properly or just for your own
pleasure.

Every changes that you do (filtering games) are saved and kept upon restart of
the app or the wii itself.

With a separate app (Save Manager GX, esp. ability to manage EmuNand Saves),
both are pretty much the complete package for a USB Loader.

The only thing keeping me to mainly use it as my usb loader is that some games
do not work/freezes. But all games that I have tested worked with CFG. And
honestly, by default, GX looks a lot better than MOD (aesthetic wise)..
