lgtm. Did we identify why the newer version broke? (would be bad if we were pinned to this for some time)
I didn't find anything conclusive, but it looks like quite a lot of issues have been introduced in pandoc recently.
Newer versions of pandoc seemed to create issues with tables being generated with links or images inside. Fixed to a specific version that we know works
