Multiple forms of one word

An example being the word alternate is pronounced in 2 ways depending on if it's an adjective or a verb. However, I only get one pronunciation of the word. Is there any way to get the other pronunciation of a word?

OK thanks for explaining. generating both in one step would require a very big change in AwesomeTTS, so that might not be the best way to go. But being able to select, there might be a way.
