Smilie keyboard duplicates/multiplies smilies

I'm seeing smilies duplicated in the in-app keyboard. Not all, but most. [how much?] Say 66%.

Found a weird bug with the emoticon keyboard where some of the emoticons are duplicated. I resolved it by reinstalling the app, but I thought you might like to know

Edit: Well fuck, it just went back to being duplicative

It was weird, I was using the keyboard and it was fine, then it looked like it "refreshed" (all of the icons kinda blinked), then multiples of every icon showed up

Keyboard loaded then reloaded with double the smilies.

but why are all of the smilies after nexus duplicated? […] and then I got it to duplicate again but I'm not sure exactly how

so yeah, the smilies selection keeps multiplying each one. I'm up to 5 repeats for each smilie.

The other day I noticed that the smilies seem more organized than they used to, like, similar ones (variations on a theme, say) are grouped together now when they weren’t before, but I know the app hasn’t updated in the last few days so I might just be dumb and just noticing it now but anyway I was going to come here and post about it but then I forgot. Then today I opened the smilie list and a lot of them were duplicated, which made scrolling take longer, but also made me remember to come here and post about smilies. The duplication appears when I select the list with the :-) face but not when I use the globe icon to select the smilie keyboard. — Pirate Radar

The smilies are coming from inside the house.

The smilie menu has been kinda broken for me for ages (a tonne of duplicates next to each other) and the ability to search it would save a tonne of time — 101

Yeah, I keep forgetting to bring this up. The smilie menu is horrific on my iPad. Nearly every smilie is duplicated and they don't seem to be in any kind of order, so finding a specific one takes forever. A search function would be amazing. — ...!

In the smiley list/menu in the app almost every smiley is shown twice, like 70% of the smileys. Is there a reason for this? It makes the already very long list of smileys a lot longer than it needs to be and makes it hard to find the appropriate smileys. — Ineptitude
