Grey boxes at top and bottom of screen on iPhone X(S Max?) #903

Here’s another video of the weird behavior on iOS after the app was closed in the background. Note that swipe gestures are broken until loading the awful thread. Going into settings and loading this thread is the only thing that fixes the grey bars, swiping, and weird transparent status bar. It however messes up the bottom icons and leaves almost no touch target. XS Max, 12.3.1.
