Imgur upload failing with “file type invalid” #904

Imgur upload through the app is busted. I get an error message that I’ve just realized I need to try to upload to double check so if this goes through then whoops

Ok it didn’t.

File type invalid. ImgurException code 1003. — Teddybear

Imgur API is broken. The exact error is File type invalid (1) (ImgurException code 1003) — Arrgytehpirate

Sorry if this a well known problem/solution but I haven’t seen it in my limited searching. I can’t seem to post photos from my photo library. Apparently posting from the camera works though.

When I try to post from the library I get this: Imgur API Error File type invalid (1) (ImgurException code 1003)

Do I need to change some settings or something? — Joburg

I keep getting invalid file type errors going long press > [img] > From Library

It seems to come and go but maybe I’m doing something wrong? They aren’t live images — Cat Hassler

They aren’t jpgs because the iPhone saves camera images as hiec (or something) and Imgur doesn’t like that format. —MarcusSA Sometimes you get some .webp or something else from some webs (likes Yandex).Try to convert .webp to .jpeg .
