Once in a while new (sub)forums appear, and (especially for users who rely on bookmarks) it’s easy to never notice. Maybe add a setting to highlight new forums when they’re first encountered? Could be a local notification (especially if/when we ever add background refresh) or something that appears in-app (badge the Forums tab?).
Also remember that the thread dropdown menu we scrape has historically gotten confused and temporarily revealed forums that the user doesn’t actually have permission to view. So maybe some kind of double-check is needed here, like "if this forum is new and is still there an hour later".
