Safety update #3

@zhepa didn't create a pull request, when she added her updates on her fork, so I am making one on her behalf.

The hex update is to avoid coloration of the text (in case it outputs to an interface)

I put on a new update, instead of all the mess code that zhepka made, I think its sufficient to just replace the first { with # to avoid coloration.
