Abstract

FrankCoin ($frank) is a meme cryptocurrency on the Neo blockchain and aims to become a great community coin with value. It´s a non profit token (for the creator), which is providing support for (Neo) newcomers, artists and everyone else, who wants to take a look into the crypto space. Our recurring events (quizzes, games) allow users to earn rewards simply by participating.

Description

Soon, $frank holders will receive NFTs that are not only beautiful, but are designed to reward FrankCoin investors / active community members.  Just by holding 1 FrankCoin NFT, owners are eligible to receive airdrops (crypto) or other perks: Playing games together, get special access to events, cheaper (or even free) merchandise,…

Motivation

Funding is a very important thing for a community coin, especially for FrankCoin, where everything is paid for with own funds. There was no presale or other funding.

Since we didn't get any response from NGD's Ecoboost program, we're trying to get some funding for the community through this way. It would be great, if we could at least have some funding for NFT holders.

Goals

As mentioned before, we are trying to make FrankCoin a great community coin. We want the crypto world to know that memecoins are a great way to have fun and learn about crypto at the same time.

We are providing support for (Neo) newcomers, artists and everyone else, who wants to take a look into the crypto space. Furthermore, we are showing different use cases for cryptocurrencies and through our recurrent events (quiz, games), we already have imparted a lot of knowledge for Neo and crypto in general.

Hello, it is great to see your proposal in Grantshares. And thanks for your work in the Neo ecosystem. I am a little confused about the relationship between your goals and the airdrop event. Especially for this goal:

How will your airdrop event help impart a lot of knowledge for Neo and crypto in general? What is the logic?

Hey thanks, it's great to see that our proposal is being reviewed. We're still a small community "coin" on the Neo blockchain, but we're doing our best to meet expectations. So, of course, thanks for your questions.

As mentioned in the Goals section, we try to provide knowledge for Neo and crypto in general through our recurring events. This is one of our main goals. Of course, the airdrop event is no exception. But how does our airdrop event help, you want to know that, right?

First and foremost, its main purpose is to reward FrankCoin investors and active community members. Without an active and happy community, a token or even an entire blockchain dies.

Second, we can impart knowledge about: what is an airdrop, what is a snapshot, what is an NFT? We also let them know that holding (a coin or NFT) can be worthwhile. As is the case with Neo (generating GAS just by holding).

That's the logic behind it. Maybe you´ve got a bit confused because I didn't ask for funds for FrankCoin in general, but "only" for an airdrop event. And in the Goals section, I've outlined the main overall goals, not specifically the goals of the airdrop event. Our airdrop event is just one of many other events (which provide even more Neo and crypto knowledge).

I hope I was able to answer your questions somehow. Just let me know if you have any other questions or if you are unsatisfied with my answer.

Personally, I think I'm ok with this proposal. It's a small amount of funds. I think for people that are starting grassroots projects and need support, requesting small grants for a small scope and building trust is the way to go. I feel we need to support passion projects where the numbers make sense, and this feels low risk to me.

I share the same views as @deanragnarok here.

GrantShares was made exactly for that, to help grassroots projects in our ecosystem. Smaller amounts, and potentially with an impactful outcome.

I'm tending to endorse this proposal. Wdyt, @csmuller @steven1227?

@Mrxdaunknown something a bit out of the scope of this proposal: why don't you target to be listed in a reverse pool on Flamingo? Maybe you need first to organize a bit the FrankCoin project, like enhancing the website, creating a Discord server, attracting users to your Discord, creating a better sense of community around FrankCoin, etc etc etc..., BUT, I think it's feasible. I'm just encouraging you to go to a different level. 😄

@gsmachado Thanks for your advice and support :).

We were already considering a reverse pool on Flamingo but decided to wait for their TAO. Otherwise we would need about $1000 in FLM to create a reverse pool. Further development of the website is a good idea that will definitely be included in the 2023 roadmap. About the Discord server: Currently we have our own channel inside the NEOF1 Discord. I don't know if we really need one of our own. But you are right, we definitely need to create a better sense of community around FrankCoin. Thanks again for you advice :).

I would be fine to endorse this proposal IF you perform some sort of "wide advertisement" on social media every time you do an airdrop. This would bring more people to FrankCoin and consequently to Neo.

I know Frank as a Neo ecosystem supporter, and an enthusiast for a long time, he was always helpful, and I don't see anything bad here. If he can get more people in the Neo ecosystem next to his project he described it as a win-win for all. I agree with @gsmachado I would also like to see Neo mentioned in advertisements with every airdrop like a common thing [ Promotion ]

[ Example ] If there is a graphic design about airdrop ( Would be cool to have the NEO logo and name next to anything else and maybe some cool text describing some capabilities of the Neo blockchain. [ Example ] You will receive an airdrop in only 15 seconds after the airdrop is completed because of the 1 block finality of Neo blockchain. ( Something like that )

I also agree with you both and a graphic design/advertisement for our airdrops shouldn't be a problem. Maybe I´ll even let the community do the graphic design in a $frank event.

Overview:

In total there are 3 different $frank NFTs: 100 x "FrankCoin", 10 x "EXTRACTION", 1 x "HEADQUARTERS" 90 "FrankCoin" are airdropped to holders with 2000 $frank or more. 2 are reserved for the $frank team 8 are reserved for giveaways

9 "EXTRACTION" are airdropped to holders with 20.000 $frank or more. 1 reserved for the $frank team

1 "HEADQUARTERS" is airdropped to one holder with 100.000 $frank or more

So, what happens if there are more than 90 holders (excluding the $frank wallet, exchange wallets) with 2000 $frank? Then those holders with more $frank will get the airdrop.

Example: There are 100 holders with at least 2000 $frank in their wallets. 90 of them have 2001 $frank and 10 of them 2000 $frank, which means: Those with 2001 $frank get the airdrop. The more $frank the better :)

Moreover, you can only get 1 of these $frank NFTs during the airdrop. Holders need to adjust their $frank amount if they want to have a specific one.

if you dont have 165 Gas to invest into marketing campaign then your project has no future , not sure why Grantshare should fund something without future

@Mrxdaunknown thanks for the detailed explanations. I think taking a snapshot at time unknown to the users is a good approach. This will make shuffling around $frank tokens less profitable for any holder.

@ioannistsil, This is a small community project without many funds attached to it. I don't think it is wrong to ask for a bit of GAS to keep the stone rolling.

@csmuller Yes, that´s my intention. However, as far as I can see, our $frank community is no pump and dump community. 99% of them are holding their $frank :). Nevertheless, it´s better to be safe than sorry.

Anyway, I hope I could clear most of the questions about the airdrop and the FrankCoin NFTs. Tomorrow, after 2 weeks, I´m going to push our proposal to the chain. It would be great if our small community project could get some support.

Finally, I would like to present one of the FrankCoin NFTs. It´s the "EXTRACTION" NFT. By the way: Yes, all NFTs were created by Somniumwave.

@Mrxdaunknown thanks for the update! Is the 2nd market happening on ghostmarket? I mean are they already listed somewhere (possibly with images)?

Hey @csmuller all good :), I´m somewhat following the ghostmarket listings, but as far as I can see, noone wants to sell their FrankCoin NFT yet. I´ll talk with the team and maybe create a community vote about it. We have some $frank NFTs left, so maybe we´ll do a quick Christmas auction for a few of them on Ghostmarket.
