Versions such as 1.7.10, 1.8.9, and 1.12.2 are still used often for various reasons.

for 1.8.9 on Windows pls use (sk1er's) patcher or inputfix (1.7.10:use inputfix)

1.7.10/1.8.9/1.12.2 on X11(xorg or xwayland), use kokoalinux

1.8.9/1.12.2 on mac, check this mod's version list
