Localized translations are indeed better. Based on your description, we will give you the Proofreader character in Portuguese, which will allows you to "agree" to a translation directly.
The rule on Crowdin is that approved translations have higher priority, followed by voting.
We will try to build and bring the latest translations every time we update the app version. The frequency here is undetermined. The minor version update may be within a week, and the feature version update may take a month. But don't worry, we'll bring the update into the app.

Hi! Last night i translated (through crowdin) the last few strings missing to complete the pt translation and i saw a lot of wrong translations made by other users. I translated a few of those strings too and I'm willing to keep translating evertything (and revising lines strings translated by others) until the translation becomes better. I have some experience with translating stuff and i saw a lot of literal translations and translations clearly made without a context in mind. Also, this translation is in a serious need to some localization (rater than direct translation). I don't know chinese but translating chinese to english gave me a better undestundment of a few phrases (better than the default english one), so i could use that too. The last thing that is needed to do is to make some strings smaller, because we have some overlaping text due the size of the string.
I saw that rating stuff on crowdin but i don't know how this works. Do you guys only use the highest rated strings? What's the frequency of updates? I'm asking because, like i said, i translated a few strings but i don't see then on the "oficial" strings.xml.
