Dear LifeUp Developers,
I trust this message finds you well. Firstly, I would like to remind you of my previous communication regarding a pending bug in the task completion rate. I have found an alternative fix ; setting each task's start time to "At the Deadline," to temporarily address the issue. While I understand the challenges you might be facing in fixing the issue reported earlier; I have come here for suggesting new features aimed at further elevating the LifeUP user experience:
Ability to Manually Adjust Achievement Progress:
Introducing the ability for users to manually increase or decrease the progress of achievements not listed in the provided unlock conditions would be a valuable addition. This feature would offer users greater control and customization over their achievements.
Introduction of a Task Skip Feature:
A 'Skip' feature, accompanied by the required option to provide a reason for skipping a task, would be a valuable addition. This would enhance user transparency and self-reflection by encouraging individuals to articulate the reasons behind skipping a particular task. Importantly, when the penalty feature is activated, utilizing the skip option should not break the completion chain nor incur any penalty.
Dynamic Task Penalty Based on Continuous Neglect:
Implementing an escalation in the penalty for tasks that are continuously neglected, failed, or not completed could add a layer of motivation. The idea is to increase the penalty proportionally to the failure rate. The more consistently a task is neglected, the greater the penalty it imposes, encouraging users to address their commitments more attentively.
Integration of Negative Tasks That could be marked repeatedly on a single day:
Addition of negative tasks that could be marked repeatedly each time a user ends up doing it; with a severity of penalty in loss of coins and experience points directly proportion to the number of times a task is done on a single day (the higher the completion rate of the task, the more sever the penalty). It would be a fantastic feature that would allow users to track activities which they wish to minimize or reduce, such as smoking the least number of cigarettes on a day. This could involve counting each instance of the negative task to provide a comprehensive view of progress (depicting how much of a negative task was done on certain days).
Option to Mark Tasks as Failed Before Deadline/End of Day:
It would be immensely helpful to have the ability to mark certain tasks as failed before the deadline or the end of the day. This feature would provide users with the flexibility to acknowledge challenges and setbacks proactively.
Expanded Calendar View (As Shown in one of the pictures attached):
An expanded calendar view that displays all tasks along with their completion, failure, and skipping status would provide users with a comprehensive overview of their progress. A visual representation, as shown in the attached picture, would be particularly beneficial for users to track their performance over time.
I understand the significant effort and dedication required to implement these features. My intent is to offer suggestions that, if incorporated, could contribute to enhancing the overall productivity and functionality of LifeUp. I appreciate your time and consideration of these recommendations.
Thank you for your continued commitment to providing users with a valuable and impactful experience through LifeUp.
